1. Scope

This policy explains what information Protahi collects when you visit our website, and how we handle it under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 framework.

2. What we collect

We don’t run user accounts and we don’t ask you to provide personal information to browse the site.

Technical data that may be processed automatically: Like most websites, when your device requests a page, the hosting stack may receive technical information needed to deliver the site (for example: IP address, browser type, device information, time of request, and requested page). Protahi does not use this to identify you. If such logs exist, they’re used only for basic security, abuse prevention, and reliability, and are not used for advertising or profiling.

If you contact us: If you choose to submit a message (for example through a contact method shown on the site), you provide whatever information you type (commonly name, email address, and message content). We use it only to respond.

3. Cookies and tracking

Protahi is intended to operate without advertising trackers. If any cookies exist, they should be limited to what is strictly necessary for basic site operation and security, not marketing or cross-site tracking.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing.

We may rely on service providers that process limited technical data to host and deliver the website (for example: web hosting, DNS, email delivery). Those providers process information on our behalf to provide the service.

5. Retention

  • Browsing data: If server logs exist, they should be retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes.

  • Messages you send us: We keep correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to maintain routine business records.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

7. Your rights

If Protahi holds personal information about you, you can request access to it and request correction. (Office of the Privacy Commissioner, n.d.) Privacy Commissioner

If you are in the EU/EEA, similar rights exist under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). (European Data Protection Board, n.d.) European Data Protection Board
